What is a 'Hardware Fingerprint'?

The 'Hardware Fingerprint' is an eight character hexadecimal code HDS1504 Software For Symbol CS1504 v2.2 uses to uniquely identify a computer on which HDS1504 Software For Symbol CS1504 v2.2 is installed.
